Hi everyone,
I am using DVDRipper to rip DVD in MKV and I am seeing something really weird across all movies. When playing them on various players, the movie is not fluid and it is like skipping some frames every few seconds. I am playing other MKV and AVI from other sources on the same players and do not have any issue. So I am wondering what is happening there and if the frame rate selected by default is the issue.
Typically, I am ripping US DVD and it defaults to 24.976 but as far as I know the original movies are in 24fps and I thought that DVD in US where coded at 30 fps due to 60Hw power cycle.
Is there anyone with similar issue that could help?
Or anyone who could guide me further on wich frame rate to use when ripping and why?
As I said, I am playing various AVI/MKV files from other sources that are encoded at 24fps, 24.976fps or 25 fps with not issue at all so I am sure fps is even the source of my issue.
Thanks for the help!
