DVD Ripper DVD to Folder question

    Hey guys,

I just purchased DVD Ripper (version 8.2.2.6) last night and ripped The Bourne Legacy with out any issues. It did take a while as my laptop is a few years old. I came across some 'good practices" written by GregiBoy, for copying DVD to Folder before converting to mobile media format.

I cannot seem to figure out how to perform Stage 1: Rip DVD to Folder of attached document.

DVD to DVD is not an option.
I do not see Full Disk Mode

Do I need a different program to Rip the DVD to the Hard Drive first? All I want to do is convert all of my DVDs to MP4 format to use on my mobile devices. From the document I read, I might be able to save time by getting it on the hard drive first then converting after.

Sorry for the long post and thank you for your assistance.

You need to DVD COPY module to copy the DVD structure to the hard drive so if you didn't buy that you're going to have to skip that step and rip it straight from the disc.

Thanks 90312. Would it spped up the process if I bought the DVD Copy? Id say it took around 2 1/2 hrs to rip it directly from disk.

It does for me is the best answer I can give you. If you have a fast CPU/GPU you'll be limited by the DVD drive speed which is much slower than a hard drive and it will for sure save wear and tear on your DVD drive(s). Another advantage is the ability to copy several discs to the HDD and then rip them to your mp4 files all sequentially using the queue feature without setting each one up one at a time.
