DVD Ripper Problem ripping DVDs to VOB. very slow

I am having a problem with ripping my DVDs to VOB.
It is very slow and takes over an hour to complete.

Dvdfab 9016

(and I have tried)BETA Dvdfab 9017 & 9018

I have tried the same DVDs on the old Dvdfab 8226, and I have no problem,
usually takes about 20mins.

I am using;
windows 7
8 gig of memory
Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 Graphics card, with up to date drivers

It's not just you or your system configuration, VOB passthrough is broken, way too slow.

It was ok in DvdFab 8, It would take about 20mins
so it looks like I will have to go back to DvdFab8
until DvdFab9 is sorted out. Bummer!

Yes the new release 9.0.2.0 fixes it. I did The Dark Knight Rises to VOB in less than 6 minutes.

Try going into common settings and disabling your GPU. Your card may not have enough horsepower for the job, let the CPU do the work. See attached:

First of all thanks very much for your time and help 90312.

I did what you suggested and tried it with Bourne Legacy
but it stopped at 56.71%
I also tried it with Total Recall,
and that stopped at 86.95%
The speed is not a problem now, it just will not
complete a DVD.

(I did The Bourne Legacy in Fab8 and had no problem, it did it in 9mins)

I have my DVD collection ripped to external hard drives and have no problems. I'll try a couple straight from the DVD and see what happens, meanwhile use DVD Copy and rip one of the problematic discs to the hard drive and then make your VOB passthrough from the folder and see if that helps.

I did what you suggested and tried it with Bourne Legacy again.
DVD copy was no problem putting it on the hard drive.

Then I tried to make my VOB pass-through from that folder,
It started great, and then stopped at 56.71%.Grrrrrr

Did you have any problem ripping from your DVDs?

I had no problem at all using the actual disc just took a couple minutes longer to complete as expected. I did Total Recall 2012 which I noticed is one you have trouble with. I'm starting to think that maybe something went wrong installing the module. Uninstall and scrub the registry, I use Ccleaner for that, and download a fresh installer from the site and try again.

tried Roger Rabbit, stuck at 98.64%
tried the bourne legacy again and it stuck in the same place as before 56.71%
The speed getting there is brilliant, but doesn't complete the DVD.

Tried them again on Fab 8, and had no problem.

The only other thing I can think of is the target, if the target drive is formatted FAT32 it will only hold 4GB per file and a VOB is typically larger than that and it will stop when it reaches the file size limit.
