I've been stuck on version 8.0.8.5 for quite some time as the QT versions have been buggy ever since (in particular selecting the first audio stream, not your preferred language once you edit - reported but never fixed). So I was quite excited to move to version 9 which revamped the UI.
After some teething problems trying to find things in the UI it seemed to be working very well. Everything converted wonderfully, using a PS3 profile, and souned OK on my PC when played using VLC. But then I noticed when playing something back on the PS3 anything with any obvious music in the high registers (doesn't show on low bass music) seems to be clipping and distorted when played on the PS3.
I checked back, and it's everything I've ever ripped using v9, so it's not specific to any disc or media. DVD, Blu-Ray and file converting all show the same clipping on the audio.
I've gone back and re-ripped all the DVDs with trusty old 8.0.8.5 and the problem is gone. So before I go to the lengths of recreating it and producing logs (since it does it for every disc with default settings I don't think it's a media issue) has anyone else had this problem and do you have any ideas what it might be.
