DVD Ripper DIVX Conversion Samsung Series 5 TV

I recently purchased a Samsung Series 5, (540) TV which is connected through my Netgear G router to my PC. I would like to convert my DVD movie to my hard drive in a DIVX format that is compatible with my TV. I just upgraded to Ver 9.0.2.2 and did not notice a DIVX format in the dropdown box. I would like to do a one step copy from DVD to the hard drive in the DIVX format. I would appreciate any suggestions on what format to use since I readily admit I am a newbie at this type of conversion.

Use one of the XVid profiles.

Very simplisticaly, XVid is the open source equivalent of DivX.

Missing DIVX/XVid Option

I am trying to convert my DVDs to DIVX so that I can play them from a SD card on my Pioneer DVD head unit in my car. When I select Ripper, Format, I do not see DIVX as an option. How do I get this added?

Choose AVI format -> Advanced settings ->Video -> DivX
