WMP is really a POS.
What does MediaInfo say the audio track is?
If it plays fine in VLC, this indicates that you need to add codecs to your setup for WMP to recognise the audio track.

Yep, I suspect it's an mp3 audio track and it ain't going to play natively on WMP.How to post the internal log
