CPU Usage Varies From Time to Time.

What would cause my i7 quad to one day use 98-99 percent usage for encoding on DVDfab and then other days only use 35 percent.

I obviously like to encode in 15min or less. It is what I prefer. So what do you think the issue is? I have tried to use the file locally and convert and also through from network server.

I just dont know what the factor is that would cause it to be different.

I have shut down all Antivirus, etc.

    Please help!!

    Thanks

Are you using different profiles? Different profiles utilize the CPU a little differently.
You might also check in common settings "X to Mobile" and make sure "Turbo CPU" is checked.

      No pretty sure.

I have tried the same profile and the same movie disabling various programs.

It just did it for me again 1 time, and then i tried it again and it ends up being half .

Even tried different movies and different profiles

      Very frustrating.

Also the content that you are encoding can also affect the framerate.

Try exiting DVDFab between attempts. This might clear the registers.

Ok I rebooted and was able to do a couple of movies all maxed out cpu. Good to go right?

So I rebooted again. Back to the half CPU thing.

Is there anyway to look at logs or anything like that, that would point out the culprit?

It is a very intermittent thing going on.

Also. I did exit the program after a few maxed conversions and I was still at maxed CPU. It changed only after reboot.
