DVD Ripper Subtitles always on

I have noticed that everytime I rip a movie the subtitles will show up and play regardless of whether that option is selected on any of my players. I have "Enable Subtitle" selected in the options just in case I want to use them in the future. Is the only way to resolve this issue to deselect the "Enable Subtitle" option? I have only made a half dozen or so and after burning Zero Dark Thirty (perfectly) I decided to make a Ipad rip and noticed this issue....

With an iPad mp4(m4v) the subs are either burned into the video stream or not at all. Can't turn them on and off.

This is a "feature" of DVDfab 9? I did the same rip with V8 and it gives me the option to disable subtitles which V9 does not.
