BD Ripper (3D Plus) Bluray Mkv remux Plays choppy in media player.

    Hello.

Playing bluray mkv remux files in vlc player the file Plays choppy i feel.
Opening the file in say power DVD i see a smooth playback, maybe the
Settings can be changed for a smooth playback in vlc, some suggestions?

My question is. If the file Plays smooth in one player and not in another,
I would think the file is without any issues and correctly ripped. Been
Using vlc only but maybe a suggestion for a more stable media player?

But i presume the playback will be perfect as i will watch all my Movies
With wd tv media player connected to my tv, hdd connected with USB.

    Thank You.

If the files play OK using Power DVD and on your WDTV, there is nothing wrong with the files and very little Fab can do to alleviate your VLC problem which could be related to your hardware as I have never ever had any problems with VLC. Make sure that your VLC is the latest version.

As Jonatan has said, try Fab's Media Player software.

        Hi botdvd,
You can give an update of VLC. My VLC is 2.0.6 which is the latest release. It's OK here while playing back the output files by mkv.passthrough.

          Hi,

Well, I seem to experience the same problem.
Trying to playback my files on my networked Blu-Ray player (an Oppo BDP-105) I always get files that seem to be in 15fps instead of the original framerate... So the whole thing seems to be be a little choppy or with skipped frames.

Maybe my player is at fault, or my NAS, but I doubt that.

Anyone else experiencing this problem ?

          Regards.

This sounds like a network throughput problem.

Have you tried playing the files from a USB drive directly attached to your player?

                Hi both,

The problem source has been tracked : it's the player.

Tried to create .mkv files with another software than DVDFab : got the same choppy playback.
Tried to transfer the faulty .mkv files to a USB drive hooked to the player : choppy playback.

So the only fault remaining possible is the player and the retailer just replied to a message that this is a FW related problem of the player and that the manufacturer is currently working on this.

                Regards.
