DVD Ripper Trying out DVDFab, painfully slow

Giving the trial version a go deciding if I want to buy. Tried to rip 2 DVDs and its taking around 1.5 hrs each.

DVDFab 9.0.4.2

Output to the Surface pro preset (mp.4)

Intel i5 2500K @4.4ghz
ASRock p67 Extreme4 gen3
16 gb RAM
Radeon 6900

Encoding around 40 fps

New to this program so I would appreciate any help. Seeing if I want to buy it.
