    DVD Ripper Work 1 failed, Error = module_wmcore 5

    I recently installed DVD Fab 9.0.4.7 on a relatively new Windows 8 machine. I got it to rip a couple of DVD's last night and now I am getting this error (or a similar one) on every rip attempt. Does anybody have any idea of the issue?

      This afternoon, I installed the same version of DVDFab on a Winows 7 Enterprise laptop (that is clean, almost new install) and got the same error message as on the Win8 machine. Here is the log from the laptop:

        Attached are the logs

        Also, please note I installed DVD Fab on a clean Windows 7 Enterprise Laptop today and got the same result. These logs are from the Win7 machine.

          This line from your log looks odd to me:
          289m 23.87s: info: audio stream[128][codec(ac3) channels(1) sample(48000) bitrate(192000) opcode(compress)]

          The original disc seems to have an ac3 mono channel at 192k and that is not typical in my experience.

          Here is a more typical line from a log describing the audio on the disc:
          0m 49.16s: info: audio stream[128][codec(ac3) channels(5) sample(48000) bitrate(448000) opcode(compress)]

          An ac3 5 channel at 448k. This disc worked fine with the zune profile. This could be a problem but I don't have a disc to verify it.

              Reproduced the issue, please wait some time to fix it. Only reproduced with AC3/1 audio track.
