BD Ripper (3D Plus) BD rips stop at 20%

Hi,
I've been trying to rip BDs unsuccessfully for while now. I copied the BDs to the HD first but that didn't make any difference. Tried different profiles with no luck.

I'm using Windows 8 with an i7-2600k, 16GB RAM.

Log file from today's attempts ("Anna Karenina") attached. Stops at 20%.

I've read all the 'freezes' threads in this forum but couldn't clearly identify a fix. Disabled the GPU codes etc.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Inactivate or remove your antivirus. I had the same issue with Bitdefender.

Great advice, hcorbeil! I am using Bitdefender, and just turning off the "On-access scanning" temporarily fixed it. Excellent, thanks!

....Bitdefender Internet Security...

for some reason it interferes with fabcore.exe so that it keeps increasing in memory usage untill it caps at a certain level and then stalls....no need to uninstall Bitdefender though..... just go into settings/Exclusions/Excluded Processes and add dvdfab.exe and fabcore.exe.....worked a treat and all is well :-) (Try this)
