V.9.0.6.0 - More Disney Bad Luck - UP(3D) Sound off when compressing

My string of bad luck on my Disney discs continues...

This time it is with the movie UP.

I can do a full 50GB .iso copy to the HDD, and everything works and plays back fine on the PC. So far so good.

Then I do a full 50>25GB compression from my new .iso into a compressed .iso on the computer. (Full disc, retaining HD Audio)

When I play this one back, sound is off by a second or two in the movie.

Next, I will try a 'movie only' 25GB compression off of my 50GB .iso
This 'appears' to work on the PC, but when I burn my 25GB disc, the movie freezes up after a few chapters. I do not see the same results on the PC.
I can't really blame the media.. all my other backups are done on the same media - and they always work flawlessely.

I think the same thing happened when I backed up my 'Brave (3D)' from Disney.
The final result in that one ended up being the 'Movie Only, 25GB compression' to disc. If I skip ahead by chapters for the first 4 or 5 chapters in the movie... it will freeze. If I just 'Play' the movie and let it run about 30min into the movie - it will play okay, and THEN will allow me to FF by chapters for the rest of the movie. Bizzare.. but that is all I could get to work for BRAVE.

Maybe its a Disney curse? lol I dont see a lot of other people running into this with thier Disney movies. (unless I am not looking hard enough)

Patience is running thin on these Disney flicks.

I found one good method that works.

I took my full 50GB clone on the HDD, chose the Movie Only and split it into two separate .iso files, where each half fits on a disc without compression.

As long as there is no compression, the sound doesnt get screwed.

Oh well.. I just bought a pack of 50 25GB blurays off amazon for $25. At .50 a disc, I dont care if a good 3D backup takes 2 discs. Can't beat that price.

    Case closed on this one.
