BD Ripper (3D Plus) V 9.0.6.6 - still has problems

Basically the same problem I've had with all versions of BD ripper. Never found a cure or been told anything that helps. I been using the last V8 because it appeared to actually work about 60% of the time.

But lately it got worse and I started back trying V9. Its the same old story, it will start off fast then fall to a really slow speed and not work even if you let it run. BD copy main movie normally works.

When using the ripper its always to MKV. Another MKV program works fine on the same disc's that the ripper will slow down on. It would be nice if I could actually use DVDfab ripper more often.

Still doesn't work

Same issue for me. I have reinstalled the program, unchecked the codec boxes and followed every instruction from support but nothing works. The program either freezes or stops. Can't use it on any disk.

That's rather an odd problem I've never encountered with any version of DVDFab. Have you tried ripping your MKVs from an ISO of the BD disc? I've been in the habit of ripping the disc to an image file with a popular free application & another commercial program running in the background. I then use DVDFab's ripper to create my MKV -- very fast, as it's working from the hdd. And of course, you could always use DVDFab to do the same thing.

Another key benefit is that ripping MKVs directly from a BD takes more of a toll on your reader's laser as opposed to ripping the entire thing direct.

Give it a shot.

Hi - I also have this problem.
1. Cannot Rip any disc - DVD or BlueRay. Copy works fine.
2. Tried Rip from disc, clone copy on hdd, iso copy on hdd.
3. Task Time goes up and fps rate goes down to fraction of 1.
4. Had no problem with 9.0.5.5 - it started with 9.0.6.0, reverted and problem now there, currently back at 9.0.6.0
5. Interestingly there was a period yesterday when Rip did work - I did nothing!!! Today back to no Rips.
This is a serious pain and help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi - afraid no joy. Version 9.0.6.6 is the same result as other versions ie no Rip.

Check your windows drivers and graphic card drivers if up to date and if it still happens try rolling the graphic driver back.

First I would try deleting Fab save Fab settings clean with CC cleaner (a free program on the internet) clean old files and clean registry with CC cleaner then reload Fab latest program and try again.You may have to reboot after reloading Fab again.

It's nice that someone always try to answer to fix this issue. But its been a long time and nothing ever works. I guess it could be one of those things that only happens with certain systems. But yet the same disc that fails always works on another MKV program.

Also, I've built probably 3 different computers using everything new since getting DVDfab and it still does the same thing. But at least it works sometimes and its fast when it does, although its very irritating problem.

With all due respect and not having the movie you're trying to rip to MKV, I have a number of BDs ripped with another MKV program that ended up with synch issues and some skips. Since moving to DVDFab, I've had no problems whatsoever with over 120 of my BDs processed by 'Fab -- running Win7Pro 64-bit on a decent but not killer gaming machine.

Maybe I watch alot of different movies than most.

Well, it does work sometimes. But when it picks a movie it don't like for whatever reason, then it refuses to work. I do not have synch issues with another MKV program but I like using DvdFab instead.

Still, when a about 50% or more disc's that I try slow down and stop working, there is a problem and I don't think anyone is trying to fix it. Obviously everyone don't have the problem but many do. I might have 4 in a row that do fine, then 4 that don't.
