BD Ripper (3D Plus) Ripping to mkv

Tried a trial version of DVDFab and ripped a movie to mkv. It only ended up as a 16gb file and the PQ was slightly down.

Is BD Ripper 3D Plus better and if you buy a licensed version can you increase the output file size to improve PQ?

DVDFab trial didn't seem to have many options.

    Cheers

When ripping to MKV, you have two options:

    1. If you're ripping to H264 video, you can increase the bitrate, I use around 9000 as the bitrate for the rips I do which I watch on a 60" screen and I can't tell the difference.

    2. Don't reencode the video at all, i.e. take the BD video stream and simply encapsulate ii inn an MKV container.

I can only see one MKV option in the format section and I now have a licensed copy. Where are the MKV H264 and MKV passthrough options found?

      Cheers

Please change your system DPI to the 100%(default), DVDFab does not support high DPI yet.
