Please create the iso file again or use physics disc and have a try!
Yeah, I got tired of constant failures, so I popped the disc in my blu-ray player and sure enough, there's a bad spot that freezes around 2 minutes in (where the kid is flying through the air after falling on the pyramid). Disc has absolutely no scratches on it, so beats me since it worked fine when I first bought it. I even ripped it before with no issues. Guess I'm gonna have to buy a new one. Too bad blu-rays can't be resurfaced.

Ripper75: I played it on the computer using powerdvd 11 and also played it on my Micca 3d media player no sound on computer the media player will not play it at all.I don't burn disks.

This is a bug in Fab.

Yes updating firmware on your blu ray burner can allow disks that won't rip to rip as new firmware can update the keys needed to do so with newer disks.

Newer firmware sometimes will make disks that won't burn to burn as more support for different brands of disks can be added to the burners firmware.

This is why it's always good to check every few months for newer firmware or whenever you have a problem.

Were you able to use the 3d m2ts or 3d mkv profiles to make a disk your tv and blu ray burner will work with? Sometimes going to version 8 of Fab solves these problems should you want to try it till they fix this problem.I will test it with a few chapters and see if theirs sound.

Ripper75: Version 8230 of Fab worked fine converting to mp-4 sound was output as 5.1 aac and played fine on computer with power dvd 11.

Note to developers: Version 8 was twice as fast converting this movie from hard drive iso to mp4 taking about 26 mins. for version 8 and about 45 mins for version 9.Why is this version 8 twice as fast as version 9 current.? version 8 112.94 fps- version 9 51.30 fps
        version 8 60% cpu 8 cores -version 9 30% cpu 8 cores.

I think I'm going to stick with .mkv. I like the fact I can get ac3 AND keep the chapter marks when I create a file. I had no idea about the chapter markers until I connected the HDD to the blu-ray player and tested movies. I went to jump to the next movie, but instead went to the next chapter in the current movie, so that was a happy little bonus.

The problem for me with 5.1 aac is that I use my blu-ray player with an external HDD connected. I've done files with 5.1 aac on the past, but they only come out as stereo on my surround system, even though the player displays it as 5.1.

I'm actually ok with the increase in time. I noticed with earlier versions when making files, there would sometime be a lot of pixelation or blocky screen jitter after conversion. So far with version 9, I haven't had that problem, since it takes longer. Are you running an AMD 8 core or an Intel i7? (not really relevant, just curious as I want to upgrade my PC)

Intel I7 and I just got it fast as lightning and now my xmas story can be told.

Thanks to 90312 he posted his speed on conversions with intel I7 using quick sync so I seen this and I had a 4 year old 2 core slow computer so my xmas present was born in my head that very day.

I am somewhat of a electronics nut so when the idea was born in my head then I just got to have it.Kind of a sickness with me last year it was media players everyone was talking about so that idea was born in my head and I had to have it also.

With my old 2 core computer converting a 3d movie without cuda or lightning it took 13 hours now 1 hour with the intel I7 so yes Virginia their is a Santa clause I call him 90312 as this year he gave me the idea and specs. of his machine and even went shopping for me.So I can go through transcoding like butter in no time.

Expensive but sane for what I need then the side kicks it plays full 3d from my software player so my media player is not necessary as my 2 USB hard drives just plug in the computers hi speed hdmi ports.

The computer outputs hdmi 1.4 to my digital hd receiver hdmi then to my 60 inch plasma or to the 8 foot home theater projector all hdmi.

So now I'm having issues with Cars 2 and Monsters Inc. They're not failing, so to speak, but what's happening is that they reach the 30-45% encoded range, and the program says that they've finished encoding successfully, but are producing files that are only around 17-30 minutes. I'm starting to think that my drive is failing, and am wondering if it's producing bad rips?

                  Hi Ripper75
If your talking about your optical drive, try copying the disc as an ISO file to your Hdd using the copy function, then use that file to do your conversions.

That's exactly how I'm doing it. Seems to only be those 2 movies so far. Planning on buying two new drives anyway

Use clone to hard drive. This makes a exact copy in the same order as what's on the disk minus copy protection.I had trouble with cars 1 3d and monsters university 3d I had to remux them both to work. Also with Monsters the signs and buildings titles are in French not English for the 3d movie the 2d movie extracted from it is ok though.

Read up on the free 3d tsmuxer here this fixes any problems after you make a cloned disk so it will work with Fab.A lot of new Disney movies need to be remuxed before they work with Fab Example Planes 3d-cars 1 3d.

With Disney animated movies (3D at least) title 800 is always English (background text, etc.), which is what I'm trying to do with no luck. So far, I've done Monsters University, Brave & Finding Nemo with no issues, just these 2. Only other movies I've issues with so far are Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and Life of Pi, and those do failed. But Cars 2 and MI always "complete" encoding at the 34% mark. I've attached the log from Cars 2.

When your dealing with 3d first you take the store brought disk clean it so their are no fingerprints or smudges best to copy when new without scratches on disk as they cause read errors and won't convert or make good cloned iso's that can be converted to another format or play.

Now you select clone/burn this makes a exact copy output to hard drive not blu ray burner so now you have a exact cloned iso copy to work with.

                            Now convert from their.
I see your making side by sides 3d you can make full 3d disks and reduce them in size to 25 gigs for clearer results.

If you use side by side you will be able to put these on dvd 9 2 layer disks or uncompressed on blu ray disks with good results putting them on dvd 5 disks is over compressing them but ok for the kids.

Title 800 is not the title Fab picks for cars 3d go with the title Fab picks or you may not get a 3d movie.

Also side by sides are faster to make and don't trip up in conversion as full 3d does at times. When full 3d doesn't work a side by side will work with the same disk or cloned iso on hard drive a lot of times but not all the time.

Full 3d gives you 1080I in each eye.Side by sides 1080 in one eye about half or less depending on if the movie is letterboxed in the other eye.

Pop off the screen effects are the same but full 3d being clearer and better on bigger screen sizes.

Some of the newer Disney movies may be using a new copy protection by putting in overlapping frames in the audio track messing up Fabs 3dmuxer and causing the conversion to time out.

Using the 3d tsmuxer corrects this and a second problem Fab has with 3d movies when their are a lot of ssif streams in a movie the audio will have pops or freeze frames.

Using the 3d tsmuxer on the cloned iso takes care of all these problems so you need to use it on problem iso's until Fab comes up with it's own solution.First you need to make a cloned iso not a full disk iso.
I have remuxed every movie I ever had converting problems with Fab 3d or not and the tsmuxer fixed the cloned iso and then the movie worked to any kind of Fab conversion.

Tried TsMuxer, and I did get a working file from the created iso, but while it was muxing, it kept saying there were overlapping frames on the audio track and would drop one of them, resulting in breaks in the audio like you mentioned. Now I'm doing it again, ripped the DTS-HD track only with DVDFab, and rebuilding the iso with TsMuxer, and so far, no overlapping frames in the audio, so hopefully this one will work. Will post results in the morning. I got to get to bed, lol.

tsmuxer takes the overlapping frames out and makes one big ssif file so cures 2 different problems at once.

You have to make sure all the audio tracks you want to keep are checked in tsmuxer the unchecked ones are not processed or included in the new iso. This way you can get rid of the audio tracks you don't need.

First you have to make the iso right clone to hard drive not full disk to iso.
I don't know what's going to happen by remuxing a iso of a full disk Fab developers have taught me to clone the iso from disk to hard drive when working with 3d not following this advice may result in the muxer not working correct or can be the source of your Fab problems.
