    DVD Ripper Trouble ripping

I've been having trouble ripping to MKV using DVDFab 9128 on a home computer. I also have a laptop that has DVDFab 9128 on it also. When ripping to MKV on the home computer, i keep getting a text file format back. But on the laptop, I use the same methods, but an MKV video format is created. I did a side-by-side comparison of the programs, but everything looks the same. I can't figure out what the problem is with the program on the home computer. Below is the internal log for 'Batman Begins'. This issue has occurred with other movies.

The first thing I would try is disabling all GPU acceleration and give it a try. See attached:

What makes you think you are getting a "text file format" back? Could it be that you have the wrong application associated with MKV files on the computer so that it's trying to open it as text file?

90312: thanks for the info. I have it checked now. It turns out, thanks to Nik Simpson, I didn't have the correct application on the home computer for playing the MKV file. I now do. I was thinking I was encountering an issue I had a year or so ago. Thanks to the both of ya. Everything is fine now. I appreciate it.
