DVD Ripper Check if it's playable

I did some searching in the forum and I did not see an answer to my issue, if there is one please point me in the right direction, thx.
I am getting a "Failed to open", "Please check if it's playable" error when I try to open a DVD in a DVD drive with DVDFab. I can open and play the disk and I can rip the full disk with Passkey.
FYI the file that is open in the DVDFab window is the ripped file I created with Passkey. Not my DVD drive.

If you're using the HDD folder as the source and getting this error try the disc. I have gotten pooched rips to the HDD before and still don't know why?

Just the opposite, I am getting this error from the disk but the HDD file (created with passkey) works fine.

Okay then try using the file created by Passkey as the source for your AVI.
