DVD Ripper Star Trek Voyager fails

Trying to rip collection of Star Trek Voyager. Every Season, most every disk has failure where as you get a kwik "BONG" and failure. I downloaded another trail version ripper (1Click) to make sure the disks are readable. I can give you the entire log if needed.

    Don't choosed you defult profile.
It seems a video error. The resolution is smaller than the truth,
Choosed it by handle. If still has this issue, contact us. Thanks

When I went to try your suggestion the program was quite a bit corrupted. When I finally got it working again (three + hours ..) there was no option for that resolution so I tried again anyway. It's been working so far. I think I may need a new hard drive.

        Hi kherr
Please update to the latest version found here http://forum.dvdfab.cn/showthread.php?t=24979

You may also try turning off the auto crop if it is on in Fab, after the movie analyzes click the edit button, crop, select disable, OK.
        Hope this helps

Yeah, I upgraded to current build. When I first tried to run it after trying some other possible problems it wouldn't authenticate and had a lot of garbage. I ended up restoring from a backup to attempt to straighten it all out. This has happened a few times in recent history. That is why I think my hard drive could be at fault too. I have a new one coming tomorrow. It's been running fine all afternoon, but I'll investigate further your ideas after the current batch runs threw.

It's been either feast or famine. Either it works great or it's a total crash. What's amazing is that I ripped through 300+ disks and all of a sudden things start to happen ......

            Hi kherr
What makes you think your Hdd is failing, have you run any tests on it?
Windows has their on tools chkdsk utility for HDD, sfc /scannow for checking Windows files for corruption, Note: There's a space between sfc and /scannow

There are also free tools to check your HDD Sea Tools http://www.seagate.com/support/downl...00dd04090aRCRD

Constantly occurring corruption of basic Windows loading files.
Corruption of programs loading. Like today from out of the blue I got a message from DVDFab that it couldn't even recognize what version was loading.
              Other program files being corrupted
I'll restore from a known none corrupted backup file and have to do it twice or more for it to take. I wonder how many times only today that I deleted and reinstalled DFab. I'll uninstall it, run CCleaner, reboot, run CCleaner, reboot, run CCleaner, install, run CCleaner, reboot, run CCleaner, run DFab and it will hang up, reboot, uninstall ......... till it finally takes. At least 4 or 5 cycles or more. Mix in Windows wanting to run it's boot restoration tool and having to restore from a backup every time that happens. DFab will run fine for a few weeks and then it will hang up again ..... I mixup unintalling it either from Control Panel and the uninstall from DFab. My install file sits on an NAS as does multiple disk images.

There's something wrong and it all points to corruption on the drive. Chkdsk didn't show anything, but what can it find in the 5 seconds it took to run???
It'll take 5 minutes to swop out the disk and 20 to restore it ...

                  Hi CBR929
                  Did you got Error = graph not_suitable_connected_filter graph(0) - pinName:video frame ?
Some error can be disappear by restart fab or you can change crop setting by Edit->crop. Hope this can help.

                      Hi Dora
I was not having a problem with the DVD Fab, I was talking about a failing hard drive issue with my sons computer, similar to the same problems that kherr is having with his computer.

@ kherr hopefully you have better luck with a new HDD.

Even if it's a little thing, do something for those who have need of help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.
