BD Ripper (3D Plus) Subtitles displaying twice in 3D movies

I used DVD Fab to rip all my movies for XBMC but on the latest release of XBMC, subtitles in 3D movies display twice - on the left and right side of the screen. They appear to have depth so I think they are in 3D, I just can't figure out why they display twice? Is there a setting I have to change in DVD Fab when ripping 3D movies with subtitles or is the issue likely with XBMC?

More information is necessary how are you making the 3d movie? 50 gig 25 gig side by side etc.Name of movie region of disk.

Are you making a clonesd iso to hard drive first or a 3d folder or iso main movie or full disk?

Please post your DvdFab internal log file for this disk not the whole folder.
Do a test on a software player do the subs work on a software player?
Do the subtitles play ok on the old version of XBMC if so that's your problem.

I am ripping a 3D half side by side MKV. What log file am I supposed to send? Should I do a new rip and then post a log?

The subtitles displayed properly on previous versions of XBMC. I'm not sure I can test on another player because it's 3D and my computer doesn't have a 3D display, only my TV.

Send the log file from the movie you did and have trouble with I will also test it.Use the newest version of fab 9145 if you didn't make it with this version of fab you can make a new one with it.Give me the name of movie and region of disk so i can test it for you on regular 3d media players and 3d computer software players.I will make a side by side from the same movie you used.

The one I am trying now is Avatar (2009). I'll upload the log when it's done ripping. I am trying it with an external file instead of remuxed into movie.

You can ripped a chapter when you tring.
I guess external file is same with remux. You can tired render.
You should disable crop when you ripped to 3d left-right.

Ok problem confirmed when making a mkv side by side of Avatar 3d subs remuxed into file pgs subtitle the forced and the regular subtitles are displaying on the bottom where they should and also on the top sometimes the top subtitle appears as a ghost subtitle but this happens only sometimes not with each spoken word view with subtitles on for 4-5 mins so you see the problem.

Dora: (QUOTE) You should disable crop when you ripped to 3d left-right.
I never had to do this with any 3d movie why do you say this?

For now you could use version 8 of Fab or a older version of 9 that works. They will fix the issue and release a new version of fab in the future.

Dorra or other staff member can you explain when it's necessary or why you recommended (disable crop when you ripped to 3d left-right) I never heard of this before and if something new would like to learn when and why you would do this when making a side by side 3d movie thanks.

Ok I downloaded a version of 8 and ripped Avatar and it shows the subtitles only once. The only thing is they don't display with any depth like the movie ripped with 9. I guess we narrowed it down to DVDFab and not XBMC though.

It is just a bug. The video can not in one when converter side by side after remove black borders. But it is occur on less source with top-bottom and remove top-bottom borders. I say that just be guess patseguin a specials source can not cause by this . Never mind.
I can reproduce glenns. Mkv left -right 50% remux PGS, the subtitle in results display on the bottom,it display twice on the top sometimes. Not left -right like patseguin said display twice - on the left and right side of the screen.
i will feedback this issue with our developer. Render and remux vobsub subtitle seems ok
                        @patseguin
Fab 8 output is one subtitle that display on the middles. Fab9 was out put as 2 subtitles stream. In some player it can handle the video side by side ,but can not handle 2 subtitle streams.

So, this is a bug in v9? I re ripped Avatar either v8 and the subtitles display once now, just with no depth. When ripped with v9, it displays subtitles with 3d depth but twice, side by side. Can v9 be fixed to display subtitles just once but with 3d depth?

V8 output 2d subtitle and V9 output 3D subtitle. I will feedback to our developer.

                              I reproduce your issue .
I play 3d mkv light-right 50% on xbmc , then choose 3D mode sidebyside in xbmc . Then the subtitle change 2 in each side . I play it on my 3d Screen and change mode to left right , It displays / displayed twice subtitle . I understand you at last .

XBMC can not handle 3D subtitle streams . XBMC should not change the subtitle to side by side and it should adjust itself setting buttons / a button / the button . If you do not adjust xbmc 3d modes , and change the screen setting to left-right , our subtitle is 3d mode . V8 output subtitle as 2d and no 3d effect . V9 output is 3d Subtitleses , but xbmc can not handle it correct . You can choosed render subtitle if you want wacth subtitle. Or render the force subtitle for that unknown language.
It also has feedback to our designer how to handle 3d subtitles.
