Sorry if this has been brought up but I can't find the solution anywhere in this forum.
I have been slowly converting my blu-ray library to mkv using "Blu-ray Ripper." Unfortunately, I have noticed that every single movie I rip that requires English subtitles for foreign parts is coming out with distorted subtitles. I have tried all possible subtitles available and have tried ripping with just "normal" selected, just "forced" selected, and "normal and forced" selected with the same result every time.
The subtitles are there but they either pop-up for only a split second or not at all. What's really weird is if I rewind the movie to watch a particular foreign language part again, sometimes subtitles will pop up that play through that didn't appear before. I started noticing this months ago and the updates since then have not helped at all. My current solution is to download the subtitles from a different websites and mux them in myself. It would be great though if I didn't have to do this every time. Any insight you guys could provide would be really helpful.
If it matters, I experience this problem when I test the movie in VLC and when I try to watch it on my Oppo BDP-103D.
I have uploaded the internal log for Distrct 9, X-Men first class, and Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit.
I should also mention that for some reason when I ripped "Lone Survivor" the subtitles came through fine.
Thanks guys
