I use dvd ripper to back up my dvds to PS3 format (MP4) so I can stream them from my computer to TV through PS3. I Always use the same settings. Most of the time the end result comes out just the way I expect. Lately however I have had a few that shrink down the picture size. If I am watching on a 53" TV the picture will look like it is a 43" picture. I know with movies I expect to see a black line on top and bottom of the screen and the picture goes the full width. Most recently I have found this small picture to happen with "The Big Bang Theory" first season, and "Back To The Future". This AM I did "Back to the Future" and "Inside Llewyn Davis". "Inside Llewyn Davis" worked fine but "Back To The Future" came out small screen. I didnt change any settings between the two

I've had this happen too. Something gets goofed up with the aspect ratio, or something like that.
