DVD Ripper H264 encode SUPER slow, 7FPS on DVD?!?

I copied a TV DVD disc to hard drive, selected one of the episodes to rip to Mp4/h264.

Just using the default Mp4 264 reencode options on a DVD. It starts fast and quickly drops to 10 and below FPS.

I have tried it with and without path player enabled.
With and without lightning reencode enabled
Changed quality rates and still no improved reencode speeds.

This used to work a few releases ago at 180 FPS or greater on DVDs.

All decode/encode options are set to software..

Attached is the log, canceled after 3% done only.

What has changed?!? 3+ hours to reencode on a DVD.

Your log says you are using H265 which is very slow. might try again selecting H264.
