BD Ripper (3D Plus) Can't read disk in remote desktop session

All the machines I use for ripping in my house have a Windows 8 Pro license so that I can use remote desktop to perform tasks on them without having to sit down in front of them. For some reason, with DVDFab I'm unable to read a disk when viewing the desktop from a remote session, DVDfab sees the DVD/BD drive but will read the disk. With other ripping tools I have no problem using remote desktop so it's something unique to DVDfab.

      Same Issue for DVDs

I have been trouble shooting this thinking it was a BIOS issue. Finally connected the PC to a monitor, keyboard, mouse - DVD FAB works fine but only in a local session.
Very frustrating. Please advise of a resolution!

        Solution for DVDs

I found this post from 2010... it works!

Just run FAB as an administrator (Right Click the program and "Run as Administrator")...

I have been battling this of a YEAR!!!
