Inspect the disks for scratches & clean and polish them.

Also, try turning Pathplayer ON or OFF.

Does the 'Enable PathPlayer when necessary' option work?

not really as you should have it set at Always Enabled which is DVDFabs default setting and if that does not work you then try with it Disabled as some movies do not require pathplayer.

The disc looks fine.

Sometimes there is a film on the disc added during replication that you cannot really see but still impairs the laser. I'd give cleaning the disc with Windex a try (in little circles, not big ones around the disc).

Well since it a PV disc and you have a time frame to return it if you encounter playback problems I would watch the original on the computer to see if you have any playback freezes/skips and if you do exchange it for another as this movie can be done using the latest DVDFab. A DVD drive on the computer is more picky about scratches than a set top DVD player that's hooked up to the TV is

Yes it was a Purchase.

It played fine (I did not watch it, GF did) in the mac-mini I use as a dvd player, and hangs at exact same point every time trying to add it to collection.

I'll return it and try another.
