Trying to just recode (converter) an .avi file to .mkv but it doesn't matter what format to what format I try, it's all the same result
I'm now seeing a number of problems:
1. Importing the file now takes two attempts most of the time. The first time will go through the little progress display but will not add the file to the task list. The second attempt will usually get it there. This includes dragging and dropping it to the DVDFab window.
2. After the file's added to the task list, the "File Name" and "Resolution" fields show up blank on most. Some files the resolution shows 2x2.
3. The Format settings window is completely garbled now. See below.
4. Starting the Conversion process as is will immediately fail. I have it set for two-pass and the first pass fails within a few seconds of starting the Conversion. Changing to one pass doesn't affect the outcome.

5. Changing the Encoding option (in settings -> A/V Codec -> Video Encoder drop down) will immediately say "CUDA H.264 encoder cannot be supported by your graphics card."

Windows 8.1 Pro, upgraded to and now running Windows 10 Pro
CPU - i7 860 @ 2.8Ghz (8 Cores)
Memory - 8GB
