My old Blu-ray player would not display any Blu-ray subtitles when the movie was in an mkv container. My only solution was to select "Extract to idx\sub file". Since then, I have upgraded my player to an OPPO 103D but I have continued to use "Extract to idx\sub file". Today, I tried to use "Remux into file" PGS subtitle and "Remux into file" VobSub subtitle. The results were poor.
The PGS and VobSub subs displayed were erratic (they would display or disappear when they felt like it). When they did appear, the subs were out of synch with the video. The subs displayed perfectly on the original disc and displayed perfectly when I placed the main movie in an mkv container and selected "Extract to idx\sub file". The OPPO's firmware is up to date as is DVDFab.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks - Jeffie
