Other How to rip h.264/MKV with NO change of resolution?

When ripping DVD and/or BD content to MKV, I appreciate the reduced file size by h.264 transcoding, but I would like the resulting resolution to be unchanged from the original content - as if the video was passed through with no transcoding.

I'm not sure why the default behavior seems to prefer some degree of cropping, and I'm not sure how the amount of cropping is determined. But in any case, how can I configure FAB to leave the original resolution completely unchanged?

Thanks in advance for advice to achieve this!

Try MKV Passthrough that's exactly what it does. The resulting file wiill be very large because there is no compression.
