Firs time post I hope I have this in the right place and I'm following forum rules. I ripped Star Trek Beyond and file looks fine, it's the right size but upon playback there is no audio. I am using current version of 2 days ago DVDfab9 blu ray ripper.

If further information is needed please let me know.

I also ripped this movie with no problem. However, when trying a play back it didn't do anything. I have the internal log to submit. You did not mention where you moved mwright2857 post to. Please advise so I can submit the internal log. Thanks

Post the Fab internal log here and what player you use to play the movie software player if so which one or hardware player what model and make and did you burn to disk? if yes post the burn log also .Did you get no sound or no sound no picture?

Thank you to the moderator that moved this thread to the correct forum.

I used 2 different players both on a PC, Windows Media Player from Windows 10 and Cyberlinks soft Blu Ray Player. In both cases there was no audio, the video looked great but no audio.

Also thank you to the person who posted their DVD Fab log. I had last minute business travel and will be back home tomorrow. When I get home I will look up where to find the proper log and post it here.

mwright2857, just as a quick check do a couple chapters and select AAC audio. AAC is more widely playable since the dust up over AC3 licensing. See below:

Thank you to the moderator. Your instructions helped me figure out my issue.

I am new to this software and this was a first trial and I'll be honest I didn't read the directions.

Since then I have found some great tips in these forums and have found answers in other posts.

Hi 3dman7, Sorry for the delay in answering. When I ripped Star Trek Beyond, I was using the latest version 9320, along with using ImgBurn. As you mention that I made a full disk, when I attempted a playback, I observed that it was reading the disk, however is stopped and never opened, no picture, no sound. I mainly use Sony DVD-R media and Verbatim -R. I tried ripping a second time with the same results, no picture, no sound. I have two TV's with DVD players, which did not playback, nor my desktop pc either. I decided to used my second desktop pc to attempt accomplishing a working backup copy. I was happy that I did in fact produce a flawless backup copy of Star Trek on A Sony media, and also made a flawless copy on a Verbatim media. The only differences were DVD Fab version 9319 was used along with burn software included. I tried both copies in one of the TV dvd players which playback was perfect. This info of course should construed as a problem exists in my first desktop pc. I could not find the first burn log for Star Trek. I had to rip the original disk again to produce a burn log that is attached here. I appreciate your support. Thanks.

3dman7, I have just ripped my second dvd purchase, The Sea Of Trees, since I was able to resolve Star Trek Beyond. This is on my first desktop pc, I could not change the write speed with in the ImgBurn, so I selected a DVD Fab write burn engine, and selected 8x write speed. I used a Verbatamin -R media. I attempted a playback on one of my TV's. It read the disk and abruptly stopped, and did not open. The screen appeared to freeze. With the remote for this TV, I pressed the play button, and a few seconds later, the screen was displaying the initial dvd opening subjects. It continue to play up to the movie, which started when I selected play again, and it continued to the end. I did not try a Sony disc, because the problem is ongoing when I used my second desktop. I am attaching the internal log here, so you can scrutinize the data. I will also add the burn log here when I locate it.
