BD Ripper (3D Plus) Ripping 3d blu ray - No Conversion

    Hi Guys,

Is it possible to rip a 3d blu ray to a format (MKV etc) that has no compression on video and audio, and if so how is it done in dvdfab? I am not too concerned about the large file size.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

The audio can be passthrough, but the video does not.

Please post your logs the default location is:

Wilson are you saying even if using the copy modual setting's not the ripper for side by side output 50 gigs is still using compression for video?

Here is the results for Star trek beyond cloned iso size same as store brought disk full 3d size= (full 3d movie with all the dummy info. 45.21 gigs)
Full 3d main movie no compression 30.40 gigs
2D main movie no compression 25.5 gigs

3D side by side output 50 gigs 40.3 gigs
Stream folder from made side by side output 50 gigs=37.4 gigs.

Comparing full 3d main movie no compression at 30.4 gigs and the 3d side by side output to 50 gigs the stream folder at 37.4 gigs is even bigger than the full 3d main movie so it seems there's no compression to the video because the file is bigger than the full 3d main movie unless my comparing the size of the full 3d to a side by side is not valid for some reason the Gigs is bigger in the converted video than the main movie full 3d.
