    iPod Touch

Did a little looking around and didn't see the answer I was looking for, so I will post a quick note and if the thread already exists perhaps someone can point me there.

I am a long time DVD Fab user, just DVD to DVD. I recently purchased an iPod Touch and thought I would put some of my movies on there to watch. Now when I start the process I select the DVD to Mobile function, I select iPod/iPhone. I click on the folder in the top right to open my previously ripped movies, I select the movie title I want, (9 in this case) then select the VIDEO_TS folder. DVDFab does its thing and I click on start. Now I have tried the one pass and the two pass. With the one pass it will go through the first 2 tasks fairly quickly but when it hits the third task it sits there and doesn't seem to do anything. I have left it alone for a couple hours with nothing happening. The fps sits at 0.00 and the percent remains at 0.00.

I am running the two pass at this moment and it says task one has been running for 1 hour and 28 minutes and has 0.01% completed. The fps is sitting at 0.00.

    I am running DVDFab 6.2.2.0.

Like I said this is my first attempt at a DVD to Mobile deal and don't seem to be getting anywhere.

Thanks in advance for any help.

First off, you would generally select the movie folder name (ex. "9"), not the VIDEO_TS subfolder but that is probably not causing your problem. It may just be a rip with an error that DVDFab is having trouble with. Try another movie. If that works then try ripping that title again. It could also be that DVDFab is having trouble writing to the destination, but it would usually error rather than go to 0 fps.

I have tried another movie, Inglorious Basterds. Same results, and I picked that folder as you said, not just the VIDEO_TS folder.

I suggest you post the DVDFab logs. Instructions can be found in the Help Us Help You sticky thread at the top of the forum.

Try an older movie say 1-2 years old and post the results.

Will there be a log? There is no error, and DVDFab just sits there, not frozen yet not doing anything. Would a log file be created?

I have figured out the problem I was having, was able to convert Saw VI. Now I just need to play around with the sound, my first chapter had the sound track of the Lions Gate opening. I would like it to play as if I were putting a DVD in the player, away it goes.

Nope, I was wrong...Still cant do Inglorious Basterds either from file or the DVD itself. Also, still not able to do 9.

Am looking for a Log that details the run, but the Log file in the DVDFab folder doesn't give any information.

I suggested you post the logs, not just look at them. There may be relevant information in them (or not).

I opened the Log.txt in the DVDFab folder, and copied the top few entries.

These are the attempts to convert either Inglorious Basterds, 9 and Saw VI. DVDFab would usually just sit thre almost idle at 0.00 fps and 0.00%, I wouls finally just stop the process as it seemed it wasn't going anywhere.

                    Thanks for any advice.

You missed one of the logs that has the title details. I'm suggesting that you post the logs in the chance that others might find something.

The only other thing I can think of is if GPU acceleration is turned on then try turning it off.

I'm using v6.2.1.8 and just converted "9" to iPod Touch MP4 format w/o any problems from my Vista VM running on a MacBook, converted in ~43 minutes.

I noticed that "9" had problem playing on my DVD Player, but no problems in my MacBook.
My DVD Player is a CyberHome (aka: Colby) and I it seems to have problems reading some of the disc that use the Sony Acro protection.

Another thought, there are a lot of Fake VOB on the disc too, and it may take a while for it to read and weed out the fakes.

I copied the log exactly as it was, that was over a couple of days of trying, and that's all there was in the log for those attempts.

Stryk911 - can you tell us what you did to get things working ?

I have just d/led DVDFab 6.2.1.8 (DVD to Mobile) and tried copying Terminator 2 DVD to MPEG4. I've tried 3 times, but similar sypmtoms to you, ie fps 0, no progress, leave for 3 hours and no change.

                              Thanks,
                              Pete.
