Alien vs. Predator 1 and 2. No errors, process finished but nothing ripped

    For some reason, all the Alien movies seem to be doing this. Normally, DVD/Blurays rip around 15-25 FPS. I can tell right away that it isn't going to be a successful rip because it will show encoding around 80, 90 and sometimes 100 FPS.

    Anyway, for both Alien vs. Predator and Alien vs. Predator Requiem, it says the process is completed successfully. It makes a folder but the folder is completely empty. Any ideas?

    Are these discs the original releases or from one of the new collections or box sets of these titles?

    I have the original single-disc releases already but I suspect these are different. I will have the AVP set in 2 days..

    does it do the same thing if you choose full disc / main movie blue ray copy or clone mode ??

    I don't know. I don't copy/make disks...just rip them for use in Plex, therefore I didn't buy anything other than the DVDFab Rip program.

    Yeah, I did the 4 Alien BDs before the 10054 release. The AVP BDs were after with the same result. I do plan on giving Alien another go with the 10054, but my guess is that it'll be the same results.

    I have the discs now and will test them. Are you ripping the theatrical or unrated versions?

    Actually, I didn't realize there were both versions on the disks. I was ripping whichever version the program picked for me.

    Probably the longer one, which would be the unrated version. I tried AVP unrated and it worked fine with my standard MP4 settings (no remuxed subs or other oddities).

    The OP used version 10048 seems to have ripped from disk no copy program and used acc sound and a 4k profile then ran into sync errors and didn't use cuda so the test is not really valid unless the same conditions were used.Of cause you can say it worked my way and that is true of cause.

    The OP should update to the latest Fab beta rip the disk to computer and then do the conversion.

      Okay, I just upgraded to 10055 and tried ripping AVP. It still did the thing where it spins it at 80-100 FPS and then quits at 50%.

      We are using Fab10056 beta and the log file starts with date and fab version you only posted the bottom part of the log file.Update fab to 10056 beta and post the whole log file.

      I've already updated to the newest Fab version. I should have some time this weekend to give it another try. I'll post back with the findings. Thanks.

      I did not use Copy Audio, I re-encoded the audio to AAC. Please describe all your settings.

      I re-encoded the audio to AAC also. I'm trying it again using the copy audio but it's doing the same thing...just not done yet.

      This is caused by second pass not working correctly staff will need to look at a current version 10 log.
