Ripped DVD's to Dvix

For some time I've been using DVD to DVD option to backup my DVD's. When I insert one of my backup DVD and attempt to use the DVD to mobile option, DVDFab will not automatically recognize the DVD. If I browse to the DVD to manually find it, nothing happens. If I attempt to use the file to mobile option, I usually get errors stating certain .VOB files are bad, etc.

Why is this happening?
