BD Ripper (3D Plus) BluRay Ripper dies on every bluray so far...

Well, to be honest that's only two - Annabelle:Creation, and Infinity War. I plan to try "Rogue One" next, but have fading hopes.

In any case, DVDs work great, so I finally dropped a US$C-note to get the BluRay ripper, and have had no luck so far.

The disc spins up, and down, and up, and down, and finally the job quits with "Read Error." I wind up with about 7 minutes of content.

Hoping I attached the correct log.

I imagine some hardware info would be in order, so:
    Radeon RX480
    AMD Ryzen R5 1600
    MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ242AS USB Device (blu-ray drive, USB3)
    16GB RAM

    Disk drives. Keyboard. Speakers. Blah.

I would like to get this working.

    Thanks.

Update: Rogue one is moving at a whopping 3.8FPS - but it is, at least, moving. 6% so far.

read error usually indicates a dirty or scratched disc, or a failing drive.
you might try updating your drives firmware and see if that'll help
      or try cleaning your discs.

Rogue One and Infinity War are - almost literally - brand new. TBH I bought Infinity War in a fit of THAT WAS AWESOME and we haven't watched it at home since. Rogue One has been watched a couple times. Both discs are (to the naked eye) pristine mirrors.

Annabelle... let's say... is not so new.

I'm looking for new firmware for the drive, having not a lot of luck.

Cripes, though... 3FPS on a disc, IF it happens to work??

          That's terrible. I wasted a hunnert bucks.

            Oh jesus.

I plugged it into a USB-A 3.0 port on my pc, and Annabelle is screaming along at 44FPS, no read errors at all as of 3%.

I guess that USB-C port (that I didn't mention?) might need some attention.
