DVD Ripper Files ripped from DVD cannot be played.

Files ripped from DVD cannot be played.
    Version: DVDFab 13.0.1.5
The settings are the default settings.

    As for the situation,
The screen is black and there is sound.
When I play it in "Movies & TV", I get a message saying "Encoded in an unsupported format".
When I play it with "Media Player", the message "Encoded in avc1 file format" is displayed.
I checked again that the setting was "H264".
I tried it with 3 different DVDs and the result was the same.
On the other hand, ripping from Blu-ray is no problem.

There is no problem with the older version of DVDFab installed on my previous computer. (I recently bought a new computer, so I deactivated it and used it as a trial version.)
    Version: DVDFab 12.1.1.1

By the way, "Movies & TV" and "Media Player" are software included in Windows.

I installed "DVDFab 12.1.1.1", which was working fine on my previous computer, and tried it out. Then, the ripped file was played without any problems.

There seems to be a problem with "DVDFab 13.0.1.5". I hope for improvement.

Which profile did you use for the conversion? Please provide the DVDFab13.log file to us.
Also, did you try to play it using other software player, such as PlayerFab or VLC, the same problem?

I sent DVDFab13.log file attached to PM to you

DVDFab Media Player(3.2.0.1) has no problem.
VLC media player(3.0.20) has the problem.

Was this ever resolved? I am seeing the exact same thing with 13.0.2.5 using MKV H.265 profile - plays with audio only, no video

If I use an MKV H264 profile, the output plays fine. Also fine with MP4 H265. So my problem seems specific to the combination of MKV and H265.

I have not used DVDFab for about a year, but I did not have this problem using version 13.0.1.2.

I don't think the problem you reported is the same as the problem in the thread.
Anyway, please use mediainfo to analyze the MKV file that you don't have sound for playback and post the result.
It'd be better to start a new thread for this problem.

            Thank you in advance.

              Mona

Did you find the cause by analyzing the log file I sent?
The update history still doesn't say that the problem has been resolved, so I'm still using the old version (12.1.1.1).
I'm waiting for the problem to be resolved.

We could not duplicate the problem on our end.

Could you please use Mediainfo to analyze the file created by DVDFab 13 and the one from DVDFab 12 respectively and then post the result? Thank you in advance.

I output the file again with the following versions and compared them.
                  12.1.1.1 (same as last time)
                  13.0.1.5 (same as last time)
                  13.0.2.6 (latest version added)

When I played the output files,
                  only 13.0.1.5 had the problem,
and the problem was fixed in 13.0.2.6.

When I analyzed these with Mediainfo,
the difference between 13.0.1.5 and other versions was:
Only 13.0.1.5 had the following description at the end of "Video".

                  Conformance errors: 1
                  AVC: Yes
General compliance: Bitstream parsing ran out of data to read before the end of the syntax was reached, most probably the bitstream is malformed (offset 0x4717C6F)

This is presumed to be the cause of the problem.
