DVD Ripper (v7.0.4.0) Subtitles missing when using custom resolutions

I encoded a DVD to a Format playable by my iPod Touch. Standard Resolutions, besides 1024kbit/s bitrate (the only thing i changed so far) worked just fine. Subtitles were displayed.

I also tried to choose a custom resolution 896x480 with the rest of the settings unchanged. (wanted to try if this video can be played on the iPod touch aswell) Subtitles weren't rendered to the video here. Changing back the resolution to one of the resolutions recommended by DVDFab itself made the subtitles work again. Is there anything i can do to fix this?

I am not that sure if its a Problem with Windows 7 or the Drivers. I tried the same thing with the same PC, this time under Windows XP and everything was working fine. Strage... o.O

(My iPod couldnt handle that custom resolution anyway, so its not important anymore. )
