DVD Ripper dvdfab mobile cannot handle californication season 1

i'm trying to rip californication season 1 to mobile for loading onto my mobile player, but dvdfab platinum has problems with it. The symptoms are as follows

    1. when selecting an episode and starting a read it starts but never makes any progress and the encoding fps keeps dropping until 1.

    2. when selecting one of the episodes its causes dvd fab platinum to crash.

I have tried 7.0.3, 7.0.4, and 6.0.2.5 and all exhibit the same issue.

I also tried ripping it with DVD decrypter and then trying to convert the episodes but had the same issue. The step I am trying now is ripping the full disc to HD with DVD to DVD, and then will try.

If you are posting about an operational problem with either the DVD to Mobile or File to Mobile option of DVD Fab, you will improve the speed and accuracy of the response by providing some information in the very first post that will be needed to assist you. Please have a look at the informational links in my signature below before reporting a problem as one of these may solve your problem.

Posts with all the requested information will be answered first.

First, make note of any error codes or messages that appear in popup boxes and put them in your post. Information on error codes that appear in the DVDFab UI are captured in one of the logs we request below.

DVDFab keeps logs of its activities that supply basic system information and can help pinpoint where and when an error happened and help pinpoint the cause. The default location for these logs on most Windows systems is:

        C:\Documents and Settings\your username\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

The logs are simple text files that can be opened with Windows Notepad. If the size exceeds the forum’s attachment size limit, you may need to delete older entries or copy and paste the relevant ones into a new file.

dvdfab_process.log Attach if DVDFab crashes and the crash report window does not come up or complete correctly or if internal error codes appear in the DVDFab window (“Task Failed…”). Time stamped, most recent at the bottom.

dvdfab_internal.log Attach for all problems. Time stamped, most recent at the bottom. Please edit to include only the most recent or relevant log session.

Make sure that you are using good procedures. Recommendations can be found here.

          Version: 6.0.2.5, 7.0.3.0, 7.0.4.0, 7.0.4.5

The nature of the problem: cannot extract and convert episodes from californication season 1, on most it starts but never increases in percentage and rates keeps going lower, and on 1 specific it crashes out completely.
The EXACT profile you used and any parameters within it that you may have changed: custom profile will attach.
If using a custom profile, please attach it to your post.

If you have other DVD or BD software installed, particularly if recently added none prior to this issue.

I can provide VOB's if neccessary.

i've attached logs that contained pertent information, despite the crashing on the one episode the process log did not contain any information related to this.

Do you need the VOB's to help understand what's going on?

Here is a tip on the procedure that I have used to sometimes get around what I regard as poorly authored DVD's.

First rip it to your hard disk in "Full Disk" Mode.

Then select that hard disk rip as your source in "Main Movie" mode and again rip that to another directory on your hard disk but select only one (1) of the titles.

Then process this one title rip with DVD to Mobile and see what happens.

I know it is a convoluted process but it worked for me on previously unencodable series DVD's.

already tried, got the same results as if doing it from the original disc.

i came across a previous post where users were having similar issues copying dexter. As recommended in that post I sent off the info files for my disc, hopefully this can help resolve both issues.
