DVD Ripper DVD to MKV no Compression

Is there any way of doing a straight conversion from DVD to MKV without any compression?

I know that there is another program out there (will not mention it here ) but it does not seem to work all the time - probably as it is in Beta.

I know that there is an option in DVD to Mobile that has MKV but you have to specify either the file size or bitrate - I want a straight conversion so it is at the highest quality.

Any suggestions.

Current Bluray can do this, and DVD can this soon...
