No audio track after conversion with specific files

So, I watch this little web series red vs blue. I wanted to put it on my mp3 player which does video. I attempted to reencode the video to make it smaller and thus playable on my player but I got no audio. I tried several different files and all of them give me audio with the conversions when I used the same settings. I then all the different audio encoding, including pure audio, and each time I get nothing. The audio type is AAC/2

Am I not doing something I should be doing or am I simply doing something wrong?

You need to give more details like what format the source file is in, what profile you are choosing and what format files your MP3 player will play.

The sourse format is mp4. The audio component is AAC/2. My player type and whatnot is moot because even playing it on the computer produces no sound. I have tried avi, mkv, mp4, and m4v wrappers. I have tried using audiocopy, mp3, mp4, and aac as the audio output. None of these result in an output with working sound. However, other videos - ie every other one I have ever tried - have never yielded this oddity.

Does the original file play on the PC with sound?

Good, I was waiting for it, I mean the right one. If you look at the converted one, what you would see (or actually wouldn't see)??? Yes, an Audio. That's exactly why you don't have sound - the audio isn't there after conversion. We have to take a close look at your settings. Have you tried "audiocopy"? I need to know your settings, every detail of it. Describe everything you do (or don't) from the moment of starting DVDFab.

Okay, so, I choose the option file to mobile and select generic. then I select a file (the first episode of the 8th season of RVB). under profile I select generic.avi.h264.audiocopy (because you specifically asked about audiocopy). changing no other settings I hit start, though being audiocopy I have really nothing to change on the audio front.
After conversion no audio plays in the player vlc or wmp BUT mediainfo says there is an audio track.

You are giving me wrong MediaInfo again. Besides, where is ADPCM came from? How did that happened. Look at your source file - it has length 8:01, and this processed - 7:13. It's a wrong one. Right one that you gave me yesterday matches the original, but have no audio. And that's the problem. Something isn't right with your source audio.
You have mentioned in a beginning that you intent to play it on mp3 player, so please try to select mp3 audio option in profile instead of audiocopy. We'll see if Fab can re-code original audio into mp3 (which you player should like too)
