BD Ripper (3D Plus) No video in VLC media player with ripped blu ray in MKV format

I ripped a blu ray copy of I Am Legend into MKV format and when I try to play it in VLC media player all I get is audio and no picture. But when I play it in Arcsoft Total Media Theatre I get picture but it is really choppy. Has anyone else had problems playing MKV's converted on DVDfab on VLC? Cause I've downloaded MKV videos before and have been able to play them fine on VLC, so I'm confused why these don't play.

Because lousy codec, IMO. Try this one: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/downlo...lassic-hc.html

I only use MKV format and never had a problem. I do have VLC too, BTW

Thanks for your reply, I actually figured it out a few minutes after I posted this, I just needed to upgrade VLC. Works great now.
