BD Ripper (3D Plus) Htc evo

I have a Blu-Ray file converted with [other software]. I am trying to make it into an mp4 for HTC Evo. I am using Blu-Ray to mobile, select MP4, choose 848x400, file size is around 300. It won't play on the EVO even though it should. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

And one more thing. Why does DVD to Mobile include Zune and PSP but Blu-Ray to Mobile does not? Can't I take a Blu-Ray and convert to PSP format also, or do I need to turn into MP4 and then use some other program to convert?

Well why not use DVDFab for the whole process and exclude the other program as we are not able to trouble shoot if another program was involved.

New features are getting added to Blu-ray to Mobile slowly but other stuff have priority over that. Besides convert a Blu-ray to PSP is something I would like but will have to wait for it to be added and no time frame available for it. Actually you can convert to MP4 and then use File to Mobile to convert to Zune or PSP or other format that you want

Done. Entourage Season 6 Disc 1, Episode 1. Converted to MP4 at 848 x 400 without subtitles. Around 300 MB. Transferred to device Media directory, went to Videos app. "Sorry this video cannot be played"

are you sure the evo can play that file you created. look at the video specs that the phone can play to find out exactly what it plays. Also find out the screen resolution as well as 848x400 sounds a bit too big

The phone can play files up to 2 GB (this is only 300 MB). It can handle up to 720p (there's an HDMI out on the phone).

I did find a note from somewhere that it won't play with 5.1, so I tried again with just ProLogic II and here's something. It looks like it is going to play, but I get sound only, no picture.

I'm trying again right now, dropping sound down to just Stero just in case, but that seems like a reach.

try a different resolution because even though it has HDMI out does not mean the phone can play the files. Sure it can use HDMI and then play on TV using the HDMI but to actually play on the phone is another story.

Understood, but how do I do that? Blu-Ray to Mobile only goes down to that resolution converting to MP4.

I'm not sure as I just started to do Blu-ray and have not done any mobile conversion yet but maybe another member will post some help for you but I will take a look and see what I can find as I have a few Blu-rays here I can give a try but no device to playback except for my HTC Maple.

Wait not sure if you have this option but once converted to mp4 you can give file to mobile a try to see if you can get a lower resolution that will play

Hmm, I can get them to play on my HD2 but unfortunately haven't been successful in converting which I need to post on another thread (can convert, but video is jerky on both the HD2 and a six core PC so something isn't converting quite right).

I typically set a custom width to 800 (which I believe is the same on the newer EVO) and then adjust the vertical resolution to keep the right aspect ratio). Video looks great but for the odd frame rate issues that are identical when played on the fast PC.

Try the 800 resolution to see if it helps. I'm not familiar with the Andriod playback options with the HD2 being WinMO but try a few different players.

Not convinced Blu-Ray to Mobile is really there yet though, certainly not for MP4.

I have the HTC TP2. I convert to both wmv and mp4. Both work. I do 400x???. 800x??? is too much for the phone. I play it full screen. The quality and sound are good. I do 150% on the volume.
