default video bit rate settings ( divx )

I am used to another program which has bit rate values of 1200 ( normal quality) , 1500 ( higher quality) for divx conversions.

what is the logic behind dvdfab's default bit rate value of 1423 ( on my PC anyway) for xvid

- why not a round number - is there something optimal about this value - has it been derived in some way form other settings?

I don't know the answer to this, only the developers would.

Obviously you can adjust this with the slider but if you want to tightly fix it, you can edit the profile and edit the maxbitrate and minbitrate parameters.
