Conversion just doesn't start

HI,

I'm using DVDfab file to mobile to convert a mpg to avi
I'm using the latest and greatest dvdfab 7.0.9.3


Californication - 1x01 - Pilot.mpg
Original Frame Resolution (1280 x 720)
Original Aspect Ratio (1.78:1)
Cropped Aspect Ratio (1.77:1)
Source Zoom: 37%
Output Zoom: 20%
Output Size: 1152 x 650

encoding: The profile is used to create avi(xvid + mp3) file, which can be played in DivX compatible player.

the problem is: conversion just does not start.

I always do fixed bitrate: xvid: 4000 kbps, mp3: 128 kbps, no subpictures

when I presss convert: it says convrsion first pass begin
but no increase in percentage, and file on disk doesn't grow
only Total time alapsed increases


There are no logs files, because I cancel the operation.... because no progress...

any idea?

You'll want to use the latest beta version located here on the forum. I use to have the same problem and this solved it for me. I've had no problems since I installed the latest beta version.

I installed this latest beta you linked to.

When I try to convert the exact same file, it's constantly ANALYZING the file ....
(more than 3 minutes or so....)
When I cancel that analyzing process and push convert... this beta version crashes....

FYI: this MPG file was created by DVDFab)))
