BD Ripper (3D Plus) DVDFab keeps shutting down

Hello to all:

DVDFab keeps shutting down on me, it will get to a certain point in the process usually under 10% complete and then either get read errors or when they are ignored just shut down.
I am not sure but I believe the problem is here

Searching this did not give me the answer, at least I could not find it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi jeffdjarr,

Please open Common Settings->General->A/V Codec, set video decoder as software and set video encoder as software, then convert again to see the result.

I have been having this problem with all 8.x versions (including the current beta). It will start encoding and then it will either crash about 15 to 30 seconds later, or it will just hang and never make any progress (the FPS average slowly moves to zero).

Ever since 8.x came out, I have been using 8.x to copy the Blu-Ray Main Movie to my hard disk, and then I use 7.x to transcode it to MP4 (h.264).

This happens with every movie I have tried. I'm using Windows 7.

I haven't reported this before because I've been lazy. But I finally decided I'd better work with you to figure out what the problem is.

Here are the log files of may latest attempt (I was trying to transcode "Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time"). I pressed the cancel button after confirming it was hung...

Me too. No problem on DVD ripper, but crash quite consistently on BLu-ray ripper, at the middle of coding.

This is an encode error, for now please open Common Settings->General->A/V Codec, set video decoder/encoder as software to convert.

<Task_2 failed! Error=105 >
Task_2 failed! Error=105 means that files are too big to fit on a DVD+/-R(W). Please use Main Movie mode to shrink your original movie materials to HDD again.
You need open common settings window, click "write", be sure to set the writable media size as 4300 for DVD5 before you start to compress.
