BD Ripper (3D Plus) DVDFab suddenly won't start

    Hi,

I purchased the Blu-ray Ripper a couple of days ago and last night I downloaded the latest Beta version.

After several hours of use, DVDFab suddenly wouldn't start.

It gives a message saying "DVDFab 8 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I uninstalled and tried reinstalling both the Beta version and the latest official release, but I still have the same problem.

It doesn't even show the start-up menu, it immediately throws the error message.

Screenshot below. Please help. Process log just says "Task 1 has been canceled".

Using Windows 7 64-bit with NVIDIA ION graphics.

    Hi trafbaxter

    Did you install as administrator??

Instead of clicking run I click save then open the folder and right click and install the program as administrator.

Even if it's a little thing, do something for those who have need of help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.

        Hi trafbaxter,

You need to do a clean uninstall of DVDFab because sometimes programs can get installation files that become corrupt. You can uninstall DVDFab with the uninstall program. Open My Computer and go to c:\Program Files (OR) wherever you installed DVDFab, delete the "DVDFab" folder. Open "c:\WINDOWS \ PREFETCH" clean all the relevant ".pf " files with DVDFab. Then restart computer and check if there are some related files left, if does, please delete them. After all that clean procedure, please install DVDFab 8.0.3.0 Beta at

        Hope this helps.
