    DVD Ripper Hangs at percentage

Hangs at percentage, but complettion time keeps going, and fps starts a slow countdown to 0. I tried doing a/v codec to software, but it still happens. Then I tried playing with different settings.

Upon turning off the TurboCPU, it finally worked. However, the time it takes went from 20 estimated with turbocpu, to 50 minutes without turbocpu.
It seems the TurboCPU is not playing nice with something in my hardware. I have a Jetway NC81-LF, with ATI graphics, and AMD 64 dual core CPU. I would also like to point out, that i even did a full re-install of Windows 7, and didn't put anything on it but DVDFab. I didn't even do any of the updates, and it still hangs with the TurboCPU option checked. Is there any way to fix this?

    Hi beavis71cox,

    Are you using v8032?

    Please post dvdfab_internal.log, thanks.

    Best Regards,
    Fengtao

Yes, i'm using the latest one.
Thats one of the problems. It doesn't log a crash. The very first time it did, and i sent the report off to DVDFab through the Crash report module that automatically came up, but it doesn't ever really crash. It just stops at a certain percentage, and doesn't go any further. you can even press pause and cancel, and its all normal. I even tried waiting once, but 2 hours later, and it hadn't moved any further.
After many tests, i've concluded that it is definitely the TurboCPU. If i uncheck it, everything works fine, but if i check mark it, it hangs. No matter which format i'm trying to rip it to.
And it only happens with the ripper. I can copy dvd's just fine.

I'll try and see if i can duplicate a crash. It always only crashes the very first time i run it and produces a log, on the very first Windows 7 installation. All the other times, it just hangs, and doesn't produce a log. So in the next day or so, i will reformat, once again, and see if it makes another log. Then i will save it and upload it. The problem is, i've re-installed windows so many times, that i don't have the logs from the other crashes. Thanks.

Crash logs not what fengtao asked for. He asked for internal logs and they located at document-dvdfab-log.

I would also like to point out, that it is the "FabCore.exe" program that crashes, and not the DVDFab.exe.

Also, i would like to point out something. I set the enable TurboCPU, and reran DVDFab, however, this time, i opened up task manager, and while it was running, before it got to 5%, which is where it usually crashes, i set the Affinity of FabCore.exe to CPU0. It ran to 20% with no problems, so then without stopping, i switched the Affinity to CPU1. It kept going to 40%, so then I switched the Affinity back to both CPU's, and within 5% of doing so, it crashed again.

I am seeing the same thing (I think.)

In trying to rip "One Eyed Jacks" using the Apple TV profile (slightly modified), it seems to get to percent: 100%. And then never finishes or completes.

                  "

                  ------ begin mobile work(1/5) ------

                  9m 33.25s: create config(0)
                  9m 33.25s: convert profile(appleTV.mp4.h264.aac)
                  9m 34.16s: dvd title(2) angle(0) chapter(1->15)
                  9m 34.16s: stream(480,2,1) stream(128,86019,1) stream(32,94208,4)
9m 34.17s: not set correct fourcc for video(28)
                  9m 34.17s: subpicture preset(1), mode(0)
                  9m 35.23s: h264_encode: encode param profile(1) level(31) bitrate(1500)
                  9m 41.29s: subpicture(32) mode(0)
9m 41.29s: connect to sub render filter
                  "

Also at this stage, how do I tell it to give up and go to the next entry in the queue?

And is there any way to save and reload the queue?

                  Thanks,

                  Jerry

                    Same Here

Same thing happening here. It finishes ripping, then hangs at 100%. I can cancel out of it and the video is fine, but it prevents me from doing multiple tracks.

Using 1-pass, for Apple TV, just default settings.

                    Log:

                      Hangs

Every since v8. Mine will do all batch conversion fine 1 time, and others hang ay 100% after 1. Kinda makes software hard to use, because can set and rip, always have to check.

Any solution? Or just buggy software?

                            Support Team??

Is the support team goign to offer any advice? Is this beeing adressed in upcoming releases?

Nothing I have tried resolves this issue. Makes this program quite useless to rip in batches.

                              Problem still exists on 8.0.4.

It's not crashing, just hangs. Any solutions from team at all?
