BD Ripper (3D Plus) BD Ripper - Error Reading Any Disk

I am frustrated. I just paid the $72 bucks for the addition to my suite even though the trial version sucked and never really "ripped" any BD I own and I still get the error reading at a certain percentage.

What am I doing wrong or is this thing still beta?

Read error on a BD means either bad disk or drive.
    Please post a log file.

The drive seems to do everything else perfectly including burning BD's with DVD Fab. I also have tried a lot of different BD's to rip to MP4. Trying right now and will post the error log as soon as it gets stuck at the same percent it does for all attempts.

        Same problem

I have tried three dvds now with similar results to others posting in this thread. I used to use version 6 with no problem. Version 8 has been a mess.

          Hi Boston Joe,

Please uninstall and reinstall the latest version of DVDFab 8.0.3.2 at http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm to see the result.

Tried that. No luck. Judging by the posts in this forum, I am not the only one with BD ripping issues. Again, if this product is so buggy and beta, they should not be charging for it yet.

Been a loyal DVDFab paying customer for a while, but I would have trouble recommending this particular product to anyone. It just does not work. The full disc BD25 burning is unreliable as well.

DVDFab is not beta!! The latest release is a official release and the only reason they make Beta releases available to the public is to get mass feeedback on what works and what still needs to be tweaked.

If it was not for this feedback the program would not be the best. Just because a few members have issues does not mean all members do. Every computer is set up differently and some programs installed on them cause a conflict and interfere.

What you really need to do is post info for someone to actually be able to help you but not sure if you using Blu-ray Ripper or Blu-ray Copy so below is info needed to help with Blu-ray Ripper

If you are posting about an operational problem with either the DVD to Mobile or File to Mobile option of DVD Fab, you will improve the speed and accuracy of the response by providing some information in the very first post that will be needed to assist you.

Posts with all the requested information will be answered first.

First, make note of any error codes or messages that appear in popup boxes and put them in your post. Information on error codes that appear in the DVDFab UI are captured in one of the logs we request below.

DVDFab keeps logs of its activities that supply basic system information and can help pinpoint where and when an error happened and help pinpoint the cause. The default location for these logs on most Windows systems is:

              C:\Documents and Settings\your username\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

The logs are simple text files that can be opened with Windows Notepad. If the size exceeds the forum’s attachment size limit, you may need to delete older entries or copy and paste the relevant ones into a new file.

dvdfab_process.log Attach if DVDFab crashes and the crash report window does not come up or complete correctly or if internal error codes appear in the DVDFab window (“Task Failed…”). Time stamped, most recent at the bottom.

dvdfab_internal.log Attach for all problems. Time stamped, most recent at the bottom. Please edit to include only the most recent or relevant log session.

Make sure that you are using good procedures. Recommendations can be found here.

              This Information Is Required!!!

The DVDFab version number. We suggest that you make sure that you are least using the latest Official Release which can be found here and recommend that you also try the latest Beta Version which can be found here.

I should mention that I could not rip any blu-ray until I replaced my drive. I had a 2 year old Asus drive and it never worked great. It could play some blu-ray disks but it would freeze on certain sections of the disk. Whenever I tried to rip a disk I would get read errors.

I recently bought a new Samsung drive and disks that were problematic play fine now and the blu-ray ripper works great. If you have an older drive consider an upgrade.
