DVD Ripper CUDA for MPEG2 - bug?

The CUDA implementation significantly slows down the RIP/Encode rate for DVDs. Normally I get between 90-120 fps (depending on source material). With CUDA enabled I get around 56 fps.

In addition CUDA implementation for MPEG2 decoding makes no significant difference in CPU utilisation when copying a DVDon my system 2-3% reducing to just over to 2% with CUDA enabled.

Card NVidea 8800GT, Intel Quad Core (2600), DVD copy and ripping.

Yes, I always use the latest builds, it seems that CUDA is slower for me than my CPU when ripping, however much faster when H.264 encoding 200+ fps! Again a little unfortunate though because the output is buggy with glitches etc.. in the final video.

It's not my card because I use it for other video processing/editing work (CUDA enabled editor) and it's fine.

Perhaps this is all fixed in 8.0.4.0 (I have just downloaded)?
