DVD Ripper MP4 ripping freezes within 1% of start.

Hi,

I have been watching some of the threads around the ripping process in version 8. My version 7 still works fine but I have not been able to get the new version to work at all.

On the latest beta and logs below. I was trying to rip down the "old" version of karate kid for my daughters webtop.
Running on an Dell Inspiron 530 running Win 7 x64.

Help would be appreciated.

The key message from the logs seems to be :-
error: h264 encode macroblocks per second(59610) exceed the standard(11880), video size(960x530, 30), specify profile(0)-level(13)

Update to the latest released version DVDFab V8.0.3.2 http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=9053 and give another try. If same problem then post the recent logs for that version only. Also for the original Karate Kid DVDs disable Pathplayer as that not needed for DVD released over 10 years ago. Unless it a rerelease

Check A/V codecs in common settings and try setting them all to softwre. CUDA does this to me.

Still no joy.

90312 & ting, thanks for the feedback but neither seems to fix the issue. Still curious how version 7 works and 8 doesn't

The percentage fails at 0.8% now rather than 0.10%... so at least it fails quicker

I tried the default setting in MP4 and Generic... no joy !
I did try IPOD profile and it works ??? I let it run over 10% before cancelling the rip manually.

Resolved

Ok... read a few similar threads and decided to un-install then re-install... rather than upgrade to the next beta.

This seems to have worked. I also notice the MP4 profile has a different name "" than before.

All running now.

I will give it a week then delete version 7 !
