DVD Ripper 5.1 Digital Sound

I have been trying quite a few of the preset profiles and can't seem to get 5.1 Dolbt Digital sound

My set up isn't complicated.

Rip a DVD into file so I can load it into iTunes and then display on Apple TV 2.

I have selected profiles that allow 5.1 Multichannel but iTunes and ATV see it just as plain Pro Logic multi sound. So does the reciever.

What profile has someone used to get 5.1 Dobly Digital sound into a ripped movie.

Apple Tv does play it. Does on Purchased content, does if I rip from xxxxx. However I want to use DVDFab not xxxxx.

Hi Gunthermic,

Please install the latest version of DVDFab 8.0.4.0 at . We suggest you use iPhone4.h264.multichannel and iPad.h264.multichannel profile to check if the 5.1 audio track will be kept in the ripped movie.

Updated to newest version

Ripped a Movie with both presets iPhone4.h264.multichannel and iPad.h264.multichannel profile

Both when added to iTunes show Channels as Multi

Plays in Quitime fine, Plays in Apple TV, but only uses Pro Logic

So in both cases it appears that DVDFab is not encodeing the AC3 5.1 stream.
